4/5/2006 - Return to Mesa Fields

There was heavy rain in the morning today, but it cleared up around 12. Although high winds did a good job of drying the fields, the ARC fields would not turn on the lights. Since sectionals this weekend, we moved the practice to Mesa Fields. A valid idea since we mostly just needed practice in plays and stacking and perfecting our setup more than just scrimmaging. Practice started at 5:30.

The Mesa fields were surprisingly dry. With the encouraging results from Monday in mind, today's practice was a break-the-mark, dump and swing drill that focused on moving up the disc on the break side and getting open for the dump. It was more of a play rather than a drill, which practiced the same movements with a team of 7.

It only lasted until 7pm.
