Week 2 of Spring Quarter - 1 week til Sectionals...

Although I do have more time to do these entries, I find myself being very lazy about it. Reducing this to weekly wrap-ups seems alright. I think I just myself being more apathetic. Hmm... but to sound less lazy, its more like the entries are feeling repetitive and many times, irrelevant. Anyway....

Tuesday mimicked last weeks practices, with those 3 scrimmages. Unfortunately, we did not have the personnel to hold 7's so we were reduced to 6's. I hate when that happens. It screws up play since it opens so much more space on the field. However, I was glad to see that the Offense line was able to win the scrimmage and the vets could beat the rookies again. Actually, I think the rookies started at 2 instead of 3 to make it a bit harder for them. It ended 5-4 so we should have lost. We had the stall 5 count. I always wanted the stall 5 count. However, it seemed to backfire here. Instead of moving the disc, it just caused our handlers to rush throws or to clear it deep, which all ended getting caught for scores for the most part.

Thursday was just the warmup and then all scrimmages. Old school. It was a lot of fun. Okay now that I think about it, my tuesday entry feels a lot like what this entry might be because I cannot remember at all. So yeah... Anyway, afterward, we had a sweet pasta feed brought to you by Chef Khosh at Allen's house. There we watched DVDs and went over everything we learned thus far. Call it a review session. It was pretty cool.
