Week 3 - Clam defense introduced

Still lazy on these posts.

Tuesday -
D line, led by KG, ran the clam. The D line, with most of the rookies, took down the vet O-line 5-1 with that clam the first round. That did not make me or the rest of the O-line happy. Since it stopped us before we could figure out and understand it. The second round was a quick rookie-vet game where the vets killed them 5-3(2 spotted). But after returning to the O and D lines in the third round, the O line made short work of the clam and crushed the D line. I do not know what the difference was exactly. I know one adjustment was we had both poppers crashing the sides and coordinating their in cuts. After they adjusted, we had the deep kind of piston in on oneside... I think. Anyway, we broke it pretty easily. I am unclear on how we did it exactly.

Thursday -
The clam was thrown again, but did not work very well again, so D lost that game. The Vets are still beating the rookies after spotting them two points (so 5-3). O line is still beating D line, which is good. During the third round, D line came pretty close (5-4). D line had a hard time with O line's wall defense. However, once we got the handlers swinging it like a zone and figuring out that shooting it the sides is the way to go, then we started coming back. I actually got angry and took over these points. Kind of proud at myself for doing so. Angry leadership... hahahah. But I did get the job down and played a primary role in our victory. Tooting my horn.
